Description: Assist Camp Fire USA teachers with planning & leading groups of youth at school sites in programs based on Camp Fire USA’s national curriculums that are designed to engage children in hands-on experiential activities that promote environmental awareness, leadership development, and humanitarian values. Participate in planning, leading, and supporting staff with weekend campouts and field trips as necessary. Work with other Camp Fire USA staff to plan & implement program development as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years old. Qualifications Desired Experience working with youth in environmental education, summer camp or related fields. CPR and First Aid Certification. Excellent communication skills and the ability to accept supervision and guidance. Experience leading &/or previous participation with service learning projects. Experience, skills or abilities with any of the following: wilderness experiences & outdoor recreation, working with diverse populations, basic computer skills & Spanish. Other desired characteristics include: enjoy working with children, appreciation of nature, team player, flexible, organized, sense of humor!
