Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The HACA Enrichment Program provides positive youth development services to adolescents aged 11-15 who reside at Housing Authority City of Austin (HACA) sites through enrichment activities, group facilitation and team building activities. Duties include assisting staff with preparation for activities, supporting staff in facilitating activities, and consulting with staff to discuss quality of implementation and group dynamics. Other duties include assisting with preparation for, delivery of, and consultation after special events, service learning projects, field trips, and Family Fun Nights.

Location: Meadowbrook, Bouldin Oaks, and Booker T. Washington Apartments of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA)

Schedule: Mondays through Thursdays, 10am-3pm, hours may vary, occasionally in the evening or on weekends.

Must be 18 years or older. Necessary skills: a sincere desire to be involved with young people, flexibility and openness, ability to model appropriate behavior for adolescents including consistency, dependability and integrity. Interns should be working towards an associates, bachelors, or masters degree.
