Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Join Meals on Wheels Corp of Volunteers! Meals on Wheels Volunteer Drivers are delivering meals at lunch time to over 2500 frail elderly people throughout Travis County and Round Rock. Help your homebound neighbors by being a Meals on Wheels Driver.

Meals on Wheels Drivers pick up hot meals once a week between 11 AM and 11:45 from an assigned meal distribution site and deliver meals to 8 to 10 people on an assigned route in the neighborhoods near the site. It takes about an hour to deliver a route.

Reduce your time commitment by recruiting your friends, fellow employees, to share your route by taking turns delivering it.

New Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver Orientations are held every Thursday at 12:15 at our Central Kitchen location, 3227 E. 5th St. or by appointment.

Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.

A CBC check is done on all volunteer applicants.

Meals on Wheels and More is unable to accomodate individuals seeking to fulfill community service hours.
