Lend a Hand….Save a Life. Volunteers assist various programs in supplementing basic essential services and assisting The Blood and Tissue Center in meeting its needs in providing courteous, compassionate donor care and service to the community. The Blood Drive Volunteer is responsible for ensuring that donors have an exceptional donor experience at The Blood and Tissue Center blood drives. Volunteers provide an inviting, relaxing, comfortable and entertaining pre- and post-donation experience for our donors; help serve refreshments to our guests; be alert to the possibility of donor reactions; encourage their return; relay our appreciation for their donation; and provide education about the Hands of the Donor and the Hand It Down programs.
Volunteers must complete an application, criminal history check, reference check, a general orientation, and program specific training as required.  This opportunity is sponsored by: The Blood And Tissue Center Of Central Texas
