Non-profit Fair Trade Store Needs Volunteers!

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on September 1, 2009

There are many opportunities in which people can assist. No previous experience is necessary (just a friendly attitude and a desire to help!), and we can be flexible with your schedule.

Volunteering at Ten Thousand Villages is a great opportunity for students who are pursuing any number of majors: fine arts, PR/marketing, international business, economics, and hospitality management, to name a few! Tell us what you are interested in, and we'll figure out how to best utilize your skills.

At the store, we need assistance with:
-- Helping customers
-- Running the register
-- Setting up displays/merchandising
-- Unpacking & checking in orders

We also need assistance with:
-- Working a booth at off-site events
-- Marketing & PR assistance
-- Serving as a board member

There are no requirements, except for a good attitude, and a willingness to learn about store operations, and people/products from different cultures!
