Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We are looking for one or two volunteer board members who have expertise in financial planning and/or grant writing. Our nonprofit child development center needs grants to survive and to be able to offer tuition reduction to low-income families. While the children are in our care, the parents are able to work or get more education to improve their economic situation. At our Center the children develop in a nurturing environment and often the parents are supported with financial assistance as well as parenting workshops.

We would like the prospective board members to volunteer for at least a year and hopefully longer. The board meetings are held on the first Tuesday evening of the month from 6:30 to approximately 8:30 at Trinity Child Development Center, 5801 Westminster Dr.
There is a brief orientation and tour of the facility before the board members begin their terms. In this case we would like the volunteer(s) to have financial and grant writing expertise.

Driving north on I35, take the 51st St.exit,continue on the frontage road to Barbara Jordon Blvd., turn right and go to the dead end; turn left on Mueller Blvd. Continue to 51st St., turn right and go to the first traffic light at Berkman.
