Be a part of the effort to help more students go to college! This program focuses on informing and preparing high school students for their college entrance and placement exams. Students are invited to attend volunteer-led tutoring sessions to prepare for their exams. Students benefit from meeting community professionals who bring real-world relevance to this process. Volunteers will guide small study groups with 2-4 students grouped by their specific academic needs for college entrance exams. Study materials including individualized study plans are provided. Tutoring sessions are offered weekly from September through May; there will be in-class tutoring opportunities with juniors and seniors and before/after school opportunities for tutoring.

Participants Say: "I am totally energized and excited about helping because they were so receptive to me helping them, I truly feel like I can be of assistance to them." -Sharon Yarbrough, City of Austin Volunteer "I liked that they were able to relate the subject to real life and make it interesting. [The volunteers] always gave me great advice I could not get from my family members because they went to college. I know I can go to them whenever I need help." -Lanier High School Student Austin Partners in Education, mentor, tutor, coach, and volunteer! www.austinpartners.org
