Capital “M” for Mentor!

Making a difference in the world is easy. Start in your own back yard! You choose how many hours you can give.

Over 33,000 children in Austin go unsupervised between the hours of 3 – 6pm. This is dangerous for our community and for our youth. Heart House offers a safe place where caring adults deliver a “hidden learning” curriculum , play sports, and create arts and crafts all in a structured environment. Our program is 3- 6, M- F at two locations in Austin.
We are looking for sincere adults, 17 and up, to Mentor, share stories, and give an attentive ear to the children of our community in a very active, but safe place. If you are reading this, chances are someone made a difference in your life. Now you can offer that same support to our future citizens!

For information on becoming a Volunteer Mentor, please see our website at www.hearthouse.org/volunteering or call Shelly-Marie at 512-929-8187. Training is provided.
