Volunteer Telephone Counselors help both parents and teens who are in crisis. Counselors provide callers with crisis intervention, telephone counseling, information and referrals. Sometimes callers are just looking for someone who will listen to their story. Counselors talk with people from across the state of Texas, from all walks of life. You must be willing to discuss and wide range of topics with out appearing shocked or judgmental to be a successful counselor.
