Reach Out and Read Utah offers several excellent Eagle Scout Projects that help all children build a love of reading and a personal library. Through our early literacy program, pediatric medical providers give a brand new book to children age six months to 5 years during well child visits.
Potential Eagle Scout Projects include:
• Hold a book drive for new/used books
• Sell opportunity prize drawing tickets for our January fundraising event.
• Paint waiting rooms
• Collect furniture for "reading corners" in waiting rooms
• Volunteer to read to children in waiting rooms
