Dallas Association For Parent Education

Agency Details:

Dallas Association For Parent Education

We are parents helping parents with raising children up to age 12. We believe parents need support in the tough job of raising children, and can learn a lot from other parents and grandparents.

Description:
We provide a telephone line (called the Warmline)for parents and caregivers to call to get advice and suggestions on parenting, to be informed on normal child development, and to provide a warm, empathetic ear.

History:
We have been around for 50 years, since 1959 when a group of 5 women realized the long-lost art of parents helping parents needed to be revived. We teach classes in positive parenting, childbirth, baby care, breastfeeding, CPR/first aid, and give conferences on special parenting topics. Our Warmline has been around with great success for 25 years.
