Description:
LA POSADA HOME, INC. HAS SERVED THE FAMILIES IN CRISIS OF THE EL PASO AREA FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS.

LA POSADA HOME, INC. PROVIDES SERVICES FOR UP TO 26 FAMILIES AT A TIME, 95 PEOPLE IN TOTAL

IT PROVIDES, ON AVERAGE, 12,775 UNITS OF SERVICE A YEAR. A UNIT OF SERVICE CONSISTS OF ONE DAY OF SHELTER PER PERSON, WITH MEALS, CLOTHING, AND ACCESS TO CRUCIAL SERVICES.

IT HAS ASSISTED MORE THAN 1,500 PEOPLE ON THEIR ROAD TO INDEPENDENCE.

IT RELIES ON THE ASSISTANCE OF CARING INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE PROGRAM.

SUPPORT MAY COME IN THE FORM OF MONETARY ASSISTANCE, CLOTHING, FURNITURE, PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS, CLEANING SUPPLIES, FOOD, AND ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT MAY BE USED TO SERVE CLIENTS WHILE THEY GO THROUGH THE PROGRAM OR THAT MAY ASSIST CLIENTS IN ESTABLISHING NEW HOMES UPON THEIR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM.
Services:
The Home provides many in-house services as well as access to many services in the community, all geared toward creating a sense of autonomy, self-reliance, pride, and self-worth. This is to enable the parents to develop and accomplish long-term goals on their road to independence.

History:
La Posada Home, Inc. opened its doors in 1986 in response to the growing need for shelter for homeless women and their dependents. The home is two Transitional Living Centers where residents may stay up to 18 months. The program is aimed at the possibility and realization of change in the lives of its residents.
