Description:
The Department of Human Services is Michigan's Public Assistance, Child and Family welfare agency. We are a non-profit state agency that provides a multitude of services to eligible residents. These services range from temporary financial assistance, food assistance, state emergency relief and Medicaid, to child/adult protective services, foster care, juvenile justice and adoption. Because of the large amount of services that our department provides, we rely heavily on volunteers and donations from individuals, businesses and community groups to support and enhance our programs.
