Kaiser Hospice Program
Kaiser Hospice offers care from a team of practitioners from many disciplines who work together to meet the medical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patients and families we serve.
Description:
Our Kaiser Hospice volunteers are valued members of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team. Working alongside our hospice medical director, our pharmacist, our nurses, social workers, chaplains and home health aides, volunteers provide support to patients and their families in a variety of ways. These range from making home visits to provide relief to the primary caregiver, to serving as friendly visitors for patients who may have no family nearby, to shopping or running errands for a busy caregiver, to preparing newsletters and other mailings in the hospice office or helping with event planning.
