Caldwell Public Library

The Caldwell Public Library provides information resources, referral services and recreational reading to meet the needs of the diverse cultural interests of the citizens of Caldwell. Its collection, services and programs are designed to promote enlightened citizenship and to encourage continuous self-education.

The library staff assembles, preserves and administers a collection of materials to serve the community as a source of reliable information. The library teaches its patrons how to use the library and to understand the organization of its resources. The library will assume a leadership role in the community and strives to keep abreast of changing community needs. The library supports the Library Bill of Rights and the Freedom to Read Statement.

The Caldwell Public Library serves the informational and reading resources needs of the citizens of the City of Caldwell.

History:
The Caldwell Public Library has served the citizens of Caldwell from the city's earliest days. The current building was built in 1976.
