Pacific Institute, incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1993, is a fully qualified non-profit organization in San Francisco dedicated to finding new ways of learning and teaching in counseling, education and research in the mental health field. The Institute as a world view cutting-edge center addresses psychology and psychotherapy from a holistic, client-centered perspective, helping individuals create healthy lifestyles honoring the spiritual, psychological, and physical dimensions of living. Licensed mental health professionals and interns/trainees work in concert with other community organizations to provide a variety of services in the fields of education, mental health practice and research. Pacific Institute Gerontological Wellness Program (GWP) is a care-centered approach to addressing the psycho-social-spiritual needs of residents of long-term care facilities. This unique program encompasses a two-fold approach. One, by providing direct services and care to the residents and their families. Two: by training , staff, and administrators on the art of providing care for the elderly.
