Description:
Waldo Community Action Partners is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to “Create opportunities for low-income people to improve their quality of life.” Established in 1965, WCAP develops partnerships with other community organizations, involves low-income clients in agency operations, and administers a full range of coordinated programs designed to have a measurable impact on poverty.
WCAP has a staff of 84, and annually assists approximately 3,500 families through categorical program offerings such as Transportation, Head Start, Nutrition, Housing Rehab, Elderly Assistances, Job Training, Home Energy Assistance and Dental Access services. There are also approximately 415 volunteers who provide over 30,000 hours of service in the Agency’s various program areas.
