The Volunteer Farm needs volunteers to plant and harvest crops!

Once the 30 acres have been prepared for planting by our farm manager in the Spring, multiple teams are needed to plant and then harvest crops. Typically, planting teams have been youth groups from churches, some local to the Woodstock area and some coming from long distances.

We schedule dates for planting particular crops (beans, squash, peppers, tomatoes, corn, etc.) starting in early Spring and harvesting as soon as those crops mature (mid to late summer) and provide a team leader who will coordinate and assist volunteers.

There are no special physical requirements for volunteers other than general good health - i.e. the ability to bend over and/or carry 5 gallon buckets of vegetables to and from the fields. We do require the signing of a liability waiver.

Because of the nature of the effort and the need to be able to move about, the outside farm work is not suitable for wheelchair access.
