The Office of Senior Adult Programs is holding a New Year's Eve Celebration for senior adults on Wednesday, December 31st, 2 pm - 4 pm, at the Walter Reed Community Center. Volunteers will help with the decorating, set up refreshments and stay to celebrate and help keep the party going strong. This year's event features entertainment by Swing Time Big Band, a 16 piece orchestra that plays music of the Big Band Era. This has become a popular event and attracts 80-100 seniors for dancing, food and socialization. If you are interested in being part of the planning committee, there is still time to get involved.
Volunteers may work in shifts:
11 am - 1 pm decorations and set up
1 - 4 pm event help (registration, food)
4-5:30 pm clean up
Volunteers should be physically able to help with decorating and refreshment set up.
