Adults Going Places is a social club for adults, 18 and over, with developmental disabilities. Their Annual Dance is Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Walter Reed Community Center. This is a big event with 80+ participants and it is the highlight of the social club's season. Volunteers will assist staff with set up and clean up, refreshments, arts activities, dance contest, photo booth, etc. Volunteers and staff will engage the participants in conversation and encourage them to participate in all activities.The hours are from 6:30 p.m. until 10"15 p.m.
Volunteer should be outgoing, friendly and comfortable with individuals with developmental disabilities.
