In the last three months of 2008, the number of people seeking emergency assistance for rent, utility bills and medical services rose 33 percent over the same period in 2007. In 2009, demands on community safety net programs continue to grow.
To donate, visit the Arlington Community Foundation, select the Donate Now through Network for Good button, and designate your contribution to the Homelessness Prevention Fund.
You can help make sure the safety net stays strong by contributing to the new Emergency Needs-Homelessness Prevention Fund. The fund will provide rent, food and other services to Arlingtonians who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
How to Contribute
Contributions to the fund can be made online or via check payable to the Arlington Community Foundation – Homelessness Prevention Fund and sent to 2525 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201. The Arlington Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes, protects and improves the quality of life for people living and working in Arlington.
