Are you a teen who is interested in volunteering this summer?
During the summer there are many volunteer opportunities that can be fun and help the community. Doing volunteer work over the summer is great for many reasons. Some schools in our county may require service hours and it is a good idea to get a head start. Another reason to do volunteer work over the summer is to be able to put any skills you may have to the benefit of your community and others in need. Over the summer it might not be appealing to volunteer indoors but there are plenty of opportunities outdoors and with your friends. A good way for teens in picking their volunteer work is to go with something that they have an interest in already. Different volunteer opportunities are available in athletic, artistic and other various types of interests. It is also a good idea to find volunteer work that might be along the lines of your career/college goals.
