Nsoro Educational Foundation

The Nsoro Foundation is a non profit public charity. We provide scholarships coupled with tutoring and mentoring for children in foster care and those who have aged out of care. We believe the key to success for these youth is rooted in education. We are committed to helping these youth graduate from high school and to pursue secondary education.

Description:
The Nsoro Educational Foundation is a non profit public charity organization. We provide scholarships coupled with tutoring and mentoring for youth in foster care and those who have aged out of care. We believe the key to success for these youth is rooted in education. Our First Step program is designed for youth in grades 7 through 12. The goal of this program is to help these youth by giving them the support needed to graduate and help them develop the skills needed to accomplish life goals. Our college prep program is designed to encourage students to pursue post secondary education. We assist with college tours, exploring career opportunities, job shadowing and career planning. We also provide 2 and 4 year college scholarships.

History:
The Nsoro Foundation was established in 2005. We began with a few scholarships to deserving youth and have since grown to provide additional programs and services to support these youth through high school and beyond. We believe the mentoring component of the work we do will make the difference for these youth. We refer to this as a circle of support.
