We can't say it enough--volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Good Mews is run by people just like you who love cats and want to dedicate their time and talent to taking care of them. You really can make a difference.
In fact, Good Mews Animal Foundation was voted a "Best Place to Adopt a Pet" by the readers of Atlanta Magazine, thanks to our dedicated volunteers and supporters.
Adoptions are held at the shelter every Saturday from 10am-4pm, plus First & Third Sunday of each month from 1pm-4pm.
Responsibilities include attending a separate adoption training to learn more about the opportunity, handling scheduled intakes, learning the adoption paperwork and caring for the cats in the absence of the Executive Director.
Must be skilled in working with the public. Must be able to commit to one Saturday per month. Must be at least 18 years old. Attend a volunteer orientations, where you can come get a tour and learn about the opportunities to help our cat buddies.
Note that we do not offer hours for court-ordered community service.
