We need Mentors willing to have fun with kids!

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 14, 2009

We have opportunities all throughout Atlanta for volunteers/mentors willing to simply spend some time with their local High School and/or Middle School youth. We need people with a willingness to listen to these youth as they are eager to share their side of life and their stories. The students are part of a character and leadership training program called Teach One To Lead OneĀ®. They are learning about good character by engaging in activities, exercises, skits, stories, large & small group discussions while hearing and seeing it demonstrated by adult mentors, facilitators, and others. The students have fun and are excited after these activities. Mentors can participate in many different ways; one sure way is to simply talk with the kids after these activities about their thoughts, feelings and behaviors with regards to the activities objectives. Questions and answers are given as guidelines for the mentors as they listen to the students and their thoughts on good character. There are many ways to be involved. We are passionate about youth and teaching them the truths that will make them leaders for tomorrow.

When working with any youth a background check must be done. We need people with a willingness to share their life experiences with these kids. We need role models that display good character. There is a two hour training session where we equip the mentors with information and martial. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We would love to get to know you!
