In a classroom setting, work directly with new arrival refugee youth (those who have been in the U.S. less than 2 years). Tutors will be assigned to a New Arrival Classroom and aid the Classroom Supervisor in after-school activities: tutoring, English language instruction, American cultural enrichment. The New Arrivals Program is held Monday-Thursday, 2:45-5:45pm. Volunteers are required to complete an orientation. The New Arrivals Program requires a minimum commitment of three hours, once a week, for a semester.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Refugee Family Services
