Participate in the nation's largest city-wide day of service. On Saturday, October 2, 16,000 Hands On Atlanta volunteers will come together to complete over 200 service projects?from beautifying our local parks to painting and renovating our schools to preparing meals for the homeless. After projects are completed, volunteers are invited to a Celebration of Service held for the first year in Piedmont Park.
Hands On Atlanta Day offers everyone, from children to seniors, the opportunity to demonstrate that "anybody can serve" and make a difference in Atlanta. Getting involved is easy! Volunteer as an individual or form a team. Hands On Atlanta Day teams represent a wide variety of organizations such as faith communities, corporations, community associations, as well as friends and families. The only requirement is a shared desire to make a difference. Project selection and registration begins on Monday August 2.
