Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 5, 2009 |
Heartland Head Start has maintained a waiting list of over 200 income eligible preschool children for the past several years. The program recently received an expansion grant which requires securing a new site suitable for 60 preschoolers and parent education. Although a site has not yet been secured, it is anticipated that one will be by November. It is obvious that a new site will require remodeling to meet the needs of the new program. Assistance will be needed in all areas - design, plumbing, carpentry, heating & AC, landscaping etc. In addition, a project planner would be most helpful as this is not an area of expertise for the staff.
Volunteers must have skill and knowledge in the areas they are volunteering in along with tools of the trade. This opportunity is sponsored by: Heartland Head Start
