Description:
New Directions provides residential care and treatment, therapeutic foster care, group homes, a teen mother-baby program, adoption services, post-adoption services, diagnostic and intensive treatment services, intensive case management, mobile crisis services, Wraparound services, early intervention, and independent living to youth and families in Western New York and the surrounding areas.
The agency provides services to children and adolescents of all ages and backgrounds. New Directions is the only human service agency with a presence in the five westernmost counties of New York State. New Directions emphasizes change, growth, and learning through its innovative Normative Culture and through challenging outdoor and equestrian activities. New Directions is accredited by the Council on Accreditation, the Association for Experiential Education, and the Certified Horsemanship Association.

History:
New Directions Youth and Family Services was formed in 1999 by the merger of Randolph Children's Home and the Wyndham Lawn Home for Children. During its history, new Directions has provided services to over 15,000 at-risk children and families, including services that preserve families and help families develop the strengths, skills and resources to maintain their children in their homes, communities and schools.
