We are working to help horses that are in need and would like to see our organization grow to include educational programs/events, etc. that would increase the community's awareness and involvement in the plight of these animals.

Description:
We rescue horses that are in need--abused, abandoned, neglected, slaughterbound horses and those horses that their owners are unable to care for any longer. We offer them safe haven and rehabilitation and then work to place them in loving homes. Those that are not able to be placed for any reason (injury, illness, abuse issue, etc) are given permanent sanctuary with us for as long as they have good quality of life. Placements are thorough and we continue to monitor the horses in our program that have been placed for life. If the new caregiver is not able to care for the horse, the horse is returned to the rescue and may never be sold, given away, taken to auction, etc. We work very hard to find the best home for each horse that we can.

History:
We became a non profit, 501c3 organization in 2001, although we had been working for several years prior privately rescuing horses. We are currently a small organization, but are looking for quality people to help us grow and be able to help many more horses, as well as be an asset to our community.
