Itsy's Fund is not-for-profit organization which gives one monthly donation to a 501c3 animal rescue group or shelter for medical care for one animal -- cat, dog, farm animal, reptile, wildlife.

We also provide humane education to children in hopes to provide a way for children to learn to be around animals.

Description:
Our agency helps animal rescues and shelters by providing a grant to a different group each month. Our monthly grant is decided on by first the board members, and then it goes to the volunteer group to vote between the two.

We get funds various ways. Our major source is crafters who make and sell handmade craft items at sales.

We also have a on line store in which we sell the items donated also and have a mall for people to shop at.

We are now moving into fundraising also. We have 3 fundraisers planned -- a giftwrapping fundraiser Nov to Dec, a Spaghetti Dinner/Auction April 2005, and a Adopt-A-Thon in the summer.

We also provide adoption services to special needs animals that are hard to place, have links to many rescues in the US, and also sponsor a course for children in humane education -- an anti-bite program.

History:
Itsy's Fund started in May of 2004. Since that time we have given out a monthly grant every month and also gave given out 3 memorial grants for candidates who died while trying for a Itsy's Fund Grant.

We have received our NY State Incorportaion and now are actively working on our Federal 501c3 status.
