Our mission is to provide appropriate and diversified programs and activities that service to attract and hold area youth to Clubhouses. We provide an environment that teaches children the tools needed to build positive lives, attitudes, and behavior.

Description:
Clubs provide diversified activities that meet the interest of of all youth. Core Programs engage youth in activities with adults, peers and family members that enable youth to enhance self-esteem and to develop full potential. Based on physical, emotional, cultural and social needs and interests of boys and girls, and recognizing developmental principles, Clubs offer diversified program activities in five areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports. Fitness and Recreation.

History:
*The Boys Clubs of Buffalo was established in 1926 by the Rotary Club of Buffalo.
*The Rotary Clubs' interest was to create a youth agency, which would provide after school programs and guidance to the juvenile delinquency problems of the year.
*The first Boys Club in the City of Buffalo is still residing at 282 Babcock Street and is the largest Club owned and operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo.
*In 1982, the Board recognized the need to incorporated as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo.
*Presently, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo has school based sites in Buffalo United Charter School, Community Charter School, Elmwood Village Charter School, Cleve-Hill High School, JFK Middle School and Buffalo PS#43. Full program sites include Eggertsville Community Center, Babcock Clubhouse, William C.BairdClubhouse , John F. BeecherClubhouse , Butler-MitchellClubhouse , Masten Clubhouse, and Southside Clubhouse.
