Gilda's Club Western New York

Gilda's Club is a free community where men, women and children living with cancer, and their families and friends, come together for emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care. Gilda's Club is free to its members and is supported by donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.

Description:
At Gilda's Club we have support and networking groups; lectures and workshops and many social activities. We believe when cancer happens, it happens to the whole family and so we welcome everyone as an equal member. We also have Noogieland which is for children from 3 through high school and that program mirrors the adult program with age-appropriate activities.

History:
Gilda's Club opened its first club in NYC in 1995 and was started by Gene Wilder, Joel Siegel, Mandy Patinkin and Gilda Radner's psychotherapist, Joanna Bull. Gilda's Club Western New York was the 18th club to open worldwide. We opened, in Western New York, on November 2, 2004.
