Description:
Headway Of Western New York,Inc.,formerly Headway for Brain Injured, Inc. is a non-profit, support agency for survivors of brain injury and their families. Headway provides help through information, education, referrals, peer support groups as well as support groups for family members caring for individuals with Brain Injury. Headway has a quarterly newsletter which reaches over 1,500 persons in the Western New York area. We have a recreational program called the TBI Clubhouse which meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Persons attending get a chance to socialize and take part in an activity with other survivors. Headway holds annual Fundraisers such as "Headway at the Harbour" held annually in May for the second year at Harry's Harbour Place, Buffalo NY, A Monte Carlo Night and our Walk, Run and Wheel held early Fall at the Erie Basin Marina.

Headway was established in 1985 by families of survivors.
