Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 15, 2009

Literacy is not just about reading and writing? Look at the high unemployment, low income, and poor living conditions in Western New York communities that are plagued with low literacy and we can see that this is far from the truth. Not only are the negative consequences of low literacy in these Western New York communities chronic, some indicators suggest that they are worsening. Come join us and help us work towards closing the social and economic inequities in the Western New York area through empowering literacy programs for school-age children, adults, and community organizations. Assist us in helping others with homework, research, reading, writing, and more specific subject areas.
