Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Guide tours of senior citizens and school children through the museum. The tours last from 30-60 minutes. The Museum is the original factory where Herschell carousels were made. Visitors are taken from the carving of the horses and other animals through the painting, then to the testing and finally shipping of the machine. Visitors then ride our original 1916 carousel and visit the gift shop.

There is a training required. There is a docent manual to read and follow our curator on a few tours.
