Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Here is your opportunity to be an active volunteer at a world-class Frank Lloyd Wright historic house museum. The Darwin Martin House (1903-05) in Buffalo, NY, is one of the great American architect's signature Prairie Houses from the early years of his celebrated career. We have a need for volunteer chaperones. Martin House Chaperones welcome visitors from across the United States and around the world, assist by accompanying tours through the historic buildings, assist with distribution of visitor satisfaction surveys, answer questions, and provide hospitality. Martin House Chaperones are welcome to take advantage of all programs available to Martin House volunteers. Martin House Chaperones attend an orientation session to learn about the Martin House Restoration Corporation, the restoration project and the volunteer system. Chaperones receive on-the-job training by the Chair of Volunteer Services or a senior mentoring chaperone. Martin House Chaperones need to be able to climb stairs and walk and stand for 95 minutes. This opportunity is sponsored by: Martin House Restoration Corporation
