Volunteer Opportunity Details:

• Imagine living in refugee camp with little privacy and few of the comforts of home for years and years waiting to come to America – a land that you’ve heard is filled with opportunity and riches. Wouldn’t it just be incredible to finally arrive after so long and have a sparkling clean apartment filled with all the basic supplies to welcome you in?
You have the power to make this dream a reality – to provide a warm, clean, and inviting home for a newly arrived family. Journey’s End Refugee Services seeks volunteers on a one time (or repeated) basis to prepare apartments for the arrival of new refugee families. Preparing an apartment involves cleaning it from top to bottom and setting up donated goods provided by Journey’s End. You are certainly also welcome to bring any of your own donated goods, furniture, cleaning supplies, or even decorations to help liven up the interior.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone – individuals, families, and small groups! It does not take a lot of time but it will really bring a smile to someone’s face!

Youth 14 to 17 supervised.
