If you enjoy helping others you can make a big difference here. Mature, friendly, patient volunteers needed to assist staff at our new "state-of-the-art" Adult Day program at Sheehan Medical Center in downtown Buffalo. Assist during activities, outings and other programs or help transport wheelchair registrants to various therapies, labs, or medical appointments within the building. Choice of one or more hours or days (Mon. - Sat., 8:00 a.m.-1 p.m. or Mon. - Fri., 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.) Applicants should be willing to help a minimum of 2 hours per week on an on-going basis.

Volunteers must be physically able to push a wheelchair, friendly, patient and enjoy working with the disabled. Must also be able to maintain confidentiality. Candidates should be at least 15 years of age and willing to serve 2 hours/week on a long-term basis (50 hours/year annually). A written application, background checks and personal health history are required.
