Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on November 24, 2009

Western New York Children's Psychiatric Center (WNYCPC) offers a variety of amenities to our patients, their families and our staff. We have begun the process of creating a brand new Patient/Staff Library which will include books for children & adolescents. Our library will provide countless opportunities for patients and their families to cozy up to a good book. Volunteer Librarians will maintain data entry for the various new books as well as keep our books neatly organized on the shelves, label and categorize new books as they arrive. In addition, patients like to ask our librarians advice about what book to start reading next!

A thorough orientation is provided by WNYCPC's Volunteer Coordinator. A potential volunteer will need to provide a copy of their driver's license (or other form of id), two references, medical immunization records, participate in a complementary yearly Tuberculosis (PPD) test, and criminal background check.
