Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Katrina's Angels, Inc. really needs people who are dedicated self-starters that want to make a difference somewhere. You can help create fund raising opportunities for a designated community for Katrina's Angels. We are currently working with survivors of Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Gustav.

Help develop fliers and other material used to fundraise and to advertise our projects by giving suggestions to the Media Dept. Create postings for various forums and on-line ads. Experience with fund raisers helpful.

Holding a local fund raiser for Katrina's Angels, Inc. would be great! We need funds to be ready to respond to future disasters. We also are trying to raise funds to get our own community warehouse for storage and disbursement of supplies in the event of a disaster.

A willingness to post or email contacts on the various ways one can donate to Katrina's Angels is a plus. Researching to find more avenues so we can reach more donors is also a plus. Ability to direct other Fund Raising Angels a necessity. Some management background a plus. This position reports to the Program Director.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and similar programs a plus. Ability to work well with and brainstorm with peers. Unlimited high speed internet and unlimited long distance for in-country calls preferred, but not necessary. Katrina's Angels does most of their work online, going on-site only when necessary. Some experience and background working with fundraising preferred. References required.

One on one training will be provided by the Program Director, along with time to get to know about our organization and its history.
