Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteer consultants can help in a number of areas including, but not limited to: Budgeting and Internal Controls,Business Planning, Corporate Compliance, Customer Service Systems,Facilities Planning and Management, Human Resources,Information Systems, Marketing and Public Relations, Quality Improvement, Risk Management and Insurance,
Strategic Planning, Training and Curriculum Development. The volunteer will work with an agency on a clearly defined consulting project.

Initial requirements for volunteers include:
 Volunteers will have significant work experience, over a period of time, in the area(s) they wish to consult in.
 Volunteers will be able to volunteer during regular business hours, for the foreseeable future. We have found that most ESC Volunteer Consultants are either “retired”, work part-time flexible hours, or are on leave from paid employment. Some volunteers have child care and/or family obligations but still have enough “free” time for a volunteer opportunity.
 Volunteers will attend 3 full days of free training, given in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center at Buffalo State College during which they will learn how to conduct a consulting engagement according to our process.
 Volunteers will possess experience, patience, and compassion.
