Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Gliding Stars requests on-ice volunteers to help our Stars (skaters) with their lessons each week. They will work one-on-one or with another volunteer with a Star each season. Our season runs from October to April. The on-ice volunteer learns the routines and lessons with the Star and performs in costume with them in our annual ice show. Our Gliding Stars practice weekly at Hamburg Ice Arena every Saturday from 1pm-3pm and at Hyde Park Ice Pavilion Sundays 4pm-6pm and Mondays 5pm-7pm. Our season runs from October 2009-April 2010.

The on-ice volunteer must know how to ice skate. They should be friendly and personable.

Take I-90 to Hamburg, Exit 57 North (Rt 75). Proceed on Rt 75 North to Rt 20 West and turn left. Take Rt 20 West to Lakeview Road (a sign for the Lakeview Hotel is on the corner) and turn left onto Lakeview Road. Drive almost two (2) miles and the rink is on the left.
