Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Assists HR Director. Able to initiate contact with volunteer applicants, send emails, conduct interviews, check references, and assign volunteers. All work done from your home via the internet and telephone. Ability to offer a few hours a week is all we ask. Sometimes there is lots to do, sometimes there is a lull in volunteer activity. Currently we are helping the survivors of Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Gustav, and the Midwest flood victims.

Must be able to help to keep HR database current by prompt contact and interview scheduling with volunteers. Good working knowledge of computers required. Unlimited high speed internet and unlimited long distance for in-country calls is a plus for you, as you will be contacting volunteers from all over the country. Katrina's Angels does most of their work online, going on-site only when necessary. Must familiarize yourself with the needs of our organization. Must conduct all interviews with volunteers by phone, document interviews and reference information, and assign them as possible to the various departments.
