Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Tour guides lead student and public participation in tours, workshops, and/or camp activities; they prepare and set-up provided materials for a tour, workshop station or camp; and they encourage and guide students and the public through the activities of a workshop station or nature tour.

A 3-hour tour guide training and shadowing of 3 guided tours is required to become a tour guide. Tour guides are required to walk/stand for up to 3 hours at a time.

Directions:

From the Southtowns area, take Route 5 east. Exit at Tifft Street and continue straight following Ohio Street to Tifft Nature Preserve. From downtown and northern sections of the city, follow route 5 (Skyway) west. Stay to the right and continue to Tifft Street. Turn left onto Tifft Street, go through the underpass and immediately turn left. Continue to the Tifft Nature Preserve Entrance, within one half mile on the right.   Nearest Bus Stop: Small Boat Harbor, 15 minute walk
