To maintain the safety, beauty, and accessibility of approximately 5 miles of walking trails for the visiting public. Trail stewards will monitor the trails at Tifft Nature Preserve to ensure their safety. Collection of litter/trash to be properly discarded, walking one or more trails noting the location of potential hazards (fallen trees, flooded trail, etc.), light maintenance of trails when needed, and reporting any heavier maintenance that is needed.

Ability to walk sometimes rough terrain. Cutting weed, brush, and branches. Ability to lift bundles of cleared brush. Carrying and using hand-tools.

Directions:

 From the Southtowns area, take Route 5 east. Exit at Tifft Street and continue straight following Ohio Street to Tifft Nature Preserve. From downtown and northern sections of the city, follow route 5 (Skyway) west. Stay to the right and continue to Tifft Street. Turn left onto Tifft Street, go through the underpass and immediately turn left. Continue to the Tifft Nature Preserve Entrance, within one half mile on the right.
  Nearest Bus Stop: Small Boat Harbor, 15 minute walk
