Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We are looking for kind compassionate women to "walk alongside" refugee women or at-risk women as they maneuver through our health care system.
The Tasks mentors will work on include:
-Meet with woman and case manager
-Maintain one time a week contact with woman
-Communicate with case manager via e-mail and/or telephone
-Attend once a month Support Meetings
-Accompany Mother to important appointments when possible

There is one Information session, and then 2 orientation sessions to prepare volunteers for mentoring. These orientations are 2 hours each, scheduled in the evenings, or can all be completed in one day - one Saturday a month.
