Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Activities volunteers assist with small and large group activities for residents at Schofield's skilled nursing facility. Volunteers assist with BINGO, cooking, creative arts & crafts, entertainment & party events, field trips, playing cards and other fun events. Volunteers also help transport residents in wheelchairs from their rooms to & from activity programs. Individuals should be willing to help at least 2 hr. per week on a long-term basis.

Must be physically able to push a wheelchair, friendly, patient and enjoy working with the elderly, ill or disabled. Also able to maintain confidentiality. Candidates should be at least 15 years of age and willing to donate 2 hours/week (50 hours/annually). A written application, background checks & personal health history are required.
