Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Do you truly like people? Are you comfortable with the elderly? We welcome kind, friendly, patient individuals to visit one-on-one with selected residents on-site. This can include reading, writing letters, playing cards, and sharing pleasant conversation. The hours are flexible and training and guidance are provided to help you establish a friendship you'll never forget!
Visitors should be patient, understanding, good listeners who are able to read out loud and/or carry on a conversation. They should be comfortable in one-on-one situations with the elderly, ill or disabled. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Candidates must be at least 15 years of age and willing to donate 2 hours/week on a long-term basis (50 hours annually). A written application including background checks & personal health history are required. Full training, recognition and extreme gratitude will be provided. e-mail or call us with your home address to request a volunteer application, brochure and position description.
