Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Food Bank collects large amounts of food and non-food items from numerous food drives and we need volunteers to help sort, inspect and repack the items. The food and non-food items are mixed together in one big barrel or box and must be sorted and put into categories i.e. vegetables, fruits,soups etc. Paper products are put in another container.

Our organization has training videos to help explain how to sort and look for problems with the items, if any and what to do. The Processing Supervisor is available to explain the procedure to volunteers.

Our organization is located in Buffalo off William Street near the post office and GoodWill. We are between William and Clinton Streets. If driving down William from main st. Go past Fillmore to Lewis .Turn right, go two blocks to Holt. Turn left to the food bank.If coming from Clinton st. also turn up Lewis to Holt
